Good to know
Is this a job or a contract?
A contract. Owner-operators are independent contractors who run their own vehicle and business. You choose which jobs to take and the days you're available.
How is pay set?
Each job has a flat rate you see before you accept it — based on the job, not the clock. Pay is sent after the job is complete.
Do I need to find customers?
No. Loadout handles marketing, quotes, booking and payment. You show up, move carefully and keep the customer posted on the move page.
Can I bring my own helpers?
Yes — tell us who rides with you. On bigger jobs we can also add Loadout crew.
What are CAP jobs?
Loadout's Community Assistance Program funds low-cost moves for families starting over. CAP jobs go only to owner-operators we've approved for them, after a background check and confidentiality training. You can apply for regular jobs only and add CAP later.
Where does Loadout run jobs?
Loadout is growing city by city. Apply from wherever you're based — we keep your application on file and reach out when there's work near you.
Is there a call or interview?
Not to apply. We review applications online and email you next steps, including the contractor agreement and where to send your insurance certificate.
Owner-operators are independent contractors, not employees. Submitting an application doesn't guarantee work. Proof of insurance and a signed contractor agreement are required before any job.
